The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofiane Charradi in the 3rd minute of play forced WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Charlos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugeniusz Charlos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Lundqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Robert Kilberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Charlos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's Eugeniusz Charlos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofiane Charradi in the 9th minute of play. If Izydor Kopacz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izydor Kopacz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Kurt Österlund made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Jim Frisck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eugeniusz Charlos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Helge Lundqvist went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Helge Lundqvist got a free kick in the 27th minute. WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's Konrad Kilar got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sofiane Charradi took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugeniusz Charlos. Eugeniusz Charlos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 37th minute Jim Frisck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Charlos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Helge Lundqvist in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Konrad Kilar made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Sven-Edvin Lundström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel and the WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Sven-Edvin Lundström got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Charlos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sofiane Charradi. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Eugeniusz Charlos as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel booed when WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Wallach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziemowit Tomiczek to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Frisck got free with Eugeniusz Charlos in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kurt Österlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izydor Kopacz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Helge Lundqvist in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eugeniusz Charlos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Frisck in the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Helge Lundqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helge Lundqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Charlos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sofiane Charradi. Konrad Kilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Izydor Kopacz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Kurt Österlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugeniusz Charlos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Helge Lundqvist in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Jim Frisck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6.
