After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Adolfo Lauro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascadia United's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Lauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Österlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 19 played minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel got a freekick which was hit by Nils Käller. In the 22ndth minute of the game Adolfo Lauro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Kurt Österlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Lauro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Österlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Helge Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Cascadia United got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Raymond. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Helge Lundqvist in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Dario Gutierrez was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Cascadia United through an amazing save. Cascadia United's Adolfo Lauro got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cascadia United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Helge Lundqvist scored to the left of an out of position Dario Gutierrez, making the score, 1-0. Sven-Edvin Lundström's late challenge caught a Cascadia United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Edvin Lundström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th play minute Helge Lundqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dario Gutierrez. 2-0. A collision led to Étoile Sportive Du Sahel getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Henric Haraldsson hit a great ball. Kurt Österlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Lauro's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Adolfo Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Helge Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd match minute, Cascadia United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Ellande to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Helge Lundqvist put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dario Gutierrez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Haraldsson in the 60th minute of play forced Cascadia United's goalkeeper Dario Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Jim Frisck was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dario Gutierrez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel booed when Cascadia United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Österlund was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Adolfo Lauro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adolfo Lauro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Marco Kimetz charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 86 played minutes, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Jim Frisck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dario Gutierrez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Étoile Sportive Du Sahel reached it. In the 87th minute, Adolfo Lauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Kurt Österlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Lauro. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel had won after a very even match.
