An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Maurin in the 2nd minute of play forced GUSESI's goalkeeper Santos Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Paul was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Santos Kiliz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Maurin went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Barrilete Cósmico FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Erubiel Guillem hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Florentino Paul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro Nicholas was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Florentino Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Nicholas having to interfere. When Barrilete Cósmico FC's Ruben Maurin in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GUSESI's goalie prevented a goal. Tiburcio Cuartio got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 32nd minute Ruben Maurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paco Gento fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GUSESI's protests and gave Paco Gento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Paco Gento hit a great ball. GUSESI's Santos Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Dimo in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Ruben Maurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Maurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Arsenio Heriberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Kiliz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. If Arsenio Heriberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Barrilete Cósmico FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruben Maurin made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Ceferino Dimo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Santos Kiliz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th match minute, Barrilete Cósmico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Astigar to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Marco Ostargi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro Nicholas was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute Ruben Maurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Ostargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, GUSESI's Isaias Rafe got a free kick in the 77th minute. Erubiel Guillem took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santos Kiliz. GUSESI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 81 played minutes Barrilete Cósmico FC got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Cesario. Paco Gento struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ramiro Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUSESI. 83 minutes into the game, one of Barrilete Cósmico FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ramiro Nicholas came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by GUSESI's Paco Gento. But to his dismay, Paco Gento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Santos Kiliz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Maurin went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Ceferino Dimo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Santos Kiliz made a huge save. 98 minutes into the game, Florentino Paul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GUSESI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrilete Cósmico FC the free kick. The supporters of Barrilete Cósmico FC booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Paul didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Barrilete Cósmico FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GUSESI throughout the match.
