Michel Duset came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Winksele 2016's Egil Jakobsson. But to his dismay, Egil Jakobsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Egil Jakobsson scored 1-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Duset, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Asarum getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Olof Fribäck hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes Winksele 2016 got a freekick which was hit by Jannis Preuveneer. Michel Duset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karel-Jan Gheysen in the 45th minute of play. Bengt-Rune Bern's late challenge caught a Winksele 2016's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt-Rune Bern helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andréas Johnsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute of the match, Egil Jakobsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Michel Duset was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Asarum's Michel Duset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Jakobsson in the 59th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Egil Jakobsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michel Duset was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Michel Duset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egil Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes Asarum got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Gunnarsson. In the 85th minute, Karel-Jan Gheysen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isac Lindkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Floris Milters. Winksele 2016's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
