The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Ernani Paraense put in a rough tackle. In the 12th match minute, Juventus EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Paraense to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus EC's zone, Felippe Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus de Senna came out of the goal and Felippe Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Juventus EC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Eriberto Rocha hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the game, Vágner Sergipano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mateus de Senna. Vágner Sergipano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mateus de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Linhares in the 22nd minute of the match. Mateus de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Félix in the 28th minute. Belo Academy's Carlos Augusto Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Urbano in the 32nd minute of play. Carlos Augusto Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Juventus EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eriberto Rocha hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Passos got free with Mateus de Senna in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adhemar Munhoz's late challenge caught a Juventus EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adhemar Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Belo Academy's Adhemar Munhoz got a free kick in the 45th minute. Rafael Passos took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateus de Senna. Mateus de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
After some careless play in the Belo Academy defense, Enéas Urbano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Eger. The Belo Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Eger should have stopped the shot. Juventus EC's Mateus de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Sergipano in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Juventus EC's Enéas Urbano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Mateus de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 81st minute Rafael Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belo Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Linhares in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateus de Senna saved Juventus EC from getting behind. Mateus de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Juventus EC's Mateus de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Sergipano in the 99th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Belo Academy had won after a very even match.
