In the 42ndth minute of the game Carmelo Iraido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vascogoianiense FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Casimiro Pacorro was slow to take the kick. During this time La Cosa Nostra's players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vascogoianiense FC had played much better football throughout.
