The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Andoitz Mendez made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Maranhense. INTER FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Villawalter City's John Garate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basílio Maranhense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gerald Deulofeu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Villawalter City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Angelo Delgado fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villawalter City's protests and gave Angelo Delgado a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Villawalter City got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Delgado. J.P. España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Villawalter City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabel Lama didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Garate came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mandi Oca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. J.P. España tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Torres to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes in the game, John Garate fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Basílio Maranhense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Linhares in the 33rd minute of play forced Villawalter City's goalkeeper J.P. España to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Garate struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Basílio Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villawalter City. Villawalter City's Gerald Deulofeu got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Anxo Maestro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villawalter City's supporters rose to their feet, but Anxo Maestro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hortêncio Linhares made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Villawalter City's Gerald Deulofeu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Bruno Alves hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Gerald Deulofeu made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Maranhense. INTER FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Hortêncio Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without J.P. España having to interfere. Villawalter City's J.P. España played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Linhares in the 79th minute of play. John Garate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Basílio Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Villawalter City booed when INTER FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabel Lama took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Basílio Maranhense. INTER FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Villawalter City getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Gerald Deulofeu hit a great ball. Mandi Oca came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and J.P. España could save by the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Villawalter City fans cheered their team off the field, for while INTER FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
