Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Roşu in the 5th minute of play. Nichifor Vergulescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Eulalio Montrel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Valer Uncheşelu charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valer Uncheşelu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Valer Uncheşelu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, FC Steaua Pildesti's Eulalio Montrel threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nichifor Vergulescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 15 minutes, Lauro Aparecido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético-PR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Aparecido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Augustin Nechifor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The goalkeeper, Eulalio Montrel, was totally fooled by FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eulalio Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Iorgu in the 29th minute of play. Eulalio Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Iorgu in the 34th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Sílvio Luiz da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Eulalio Montrel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eulalio Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Iorgu in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Augustin Nechifor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eulalio Montrel came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Pildesti's Augustin Nechifor. But to his dismay, Augustin Nechifor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augustin Nechifor to strike the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Nechifor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Iorgu came free, but Eulalio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Cobâlcescu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Uncheşelu in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Montrel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Iorgu came free, but Eulalio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Costin Iorgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Steaua Pildesti's Rareș Ficsinescu was substituted for Nichifor Vergulescu. The referee gave FC Steaua Pildesti a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Costin Iorgu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel. 3-1. Lauro Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Eulalio Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Iorgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Eulalio Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Ficsinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Iorgu in the 91st minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Eulalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lauro Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético-PR's protests and gave Lauro Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Traian Roşu got a free kick in the 97th minute. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
