David Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Dino de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internazionale-RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Rodolfo Siqueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internazionale-RS. Luís Fabiano Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. David Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Paranaense came free, but David Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ronaldinho de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Internazionale-RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Dino de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dino de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valério Paranaense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but David Godoi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 29 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Castro. After having played for 32 minutes, Dino de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Internazionale-RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luís Fabiano Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Internazionale-RS's David Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Internazionale-RS from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper David Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Paranaense got free with David Godoi in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorginho Soares to make the kick off. If Pedro Luís Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, Internazionale-RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Luís Fabiano Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Costa during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Teodoro Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When A A Arizona's Valério Paranaense in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. David Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Jorginho Soares fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Internazionale-RS's protests and gave Jorginho Soares a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Jorginho Soares got a free kick in the 87th minute. Dino de Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodolfo Siqueira having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A A Arizona fully deserved thier win.
