The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Horácio Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hílton Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lefteris Kaligeros, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Grigoris Maras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, A.A.100Qualidade's Geovânio Medeiros got a free kick in the 13th minute. Kostas Makrodimitris took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hílton Rocha. A.A.100Qualidade's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, ERGOTELIS's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Senna came free, but Panos Drambas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.A.100Qualidade's Hílton Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Makrodimitris in the 25th minute of play. A.A.100Qualidade's Didi Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If André Luís Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, A.A.100Qualidade's Panos Drambas threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Didi Senna, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. André Luís Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Panos Drambas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kostas Makrodimitris charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kostas Makrodimitris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, ERGOTELIS's Panos Drambas got control of the ball when André Luís Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panos Drambas made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Horácio Veiga sent off a good shot on target. The A.A.100Qualidade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to A.A.100Qualidade getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Horácio Veiga hit a great ball. Lefteris Kaligeros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hílton Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lefteris Kaligeros in the 69th minute of play. After 71 played minutes, ERGOTELIS's Anestis Kapsimalis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hílton Rocha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ERGOTELIS reached it. After 71 minutes, Ademir Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.A.100Qualidade and the ERGOTELIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The A.A.100Qualidade supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ERGOTELIS's performance. The match ended with a win for ERGOTELIS.
