After 23 minutes, Lou Winnepenninck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Twierdza Osowiec and the Tirant lo Blanch players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Twierdza Osowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lou Winnepenninck to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Zeno Hendrickx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Llorienzo Lama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Waut Vanden Berghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Winnepenninck in the 61st minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Eriberto Segura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waut Vanden Berghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llorienzo Lama in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Waut Vanden Berghe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Llorienzo Lama. Waut Vanden Berghe made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Llorienzo Lama sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the game, Jorg Saelens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Twierdza Osowiec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tirant lo Blanch the free kick. A collision led to Twierdza Osowiec getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jorg Saelens hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes, Tirant lo Blanch's Fernando Giner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Waut Vanden Berghe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tirant lo Blanch reached it. Llorienzo Lama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Waut Vanden Berghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Twierdza Osowiec booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oihan Cazorla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Twierdza Osowiec could leave the field as winners, despite Tirant lo Blanch having more of the ball for most of the match.
