Alberigo Pomponio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmondo De Vito's late challenge caught a Itajaí Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmondo De Vito helped the player get up and apologised. With his leg Concetto Uguccioni managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Itajaí Football Club's Jailson de Senna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The corner led Itajaí Football Club's Manuel Pinho to fire away a dangerous shot which Concetto Uguccioni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Arrigo Latini hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Anfilogino Conti hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Itajaí Football Club's Jailson de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 minutes, Jailson de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itajaí Football Club and the Bar Marconi United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dennis Berardo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Manuel Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Enzo Cusumano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Itajaí Football Club's Christiano Cearense. Christiano Cearense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christiano Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Pomponio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Arrigo Latini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Juarês Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itajaí Football Club's protests and gave Juarês Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. Juarês Gerber hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Jailson de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itajaí Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Concetto Uguccioni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Bar Marconi United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jailson de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Bar Marconi United's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson de Senna came free, but Concetto Uguccioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bar Marconi United's zone, Jailson de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Concetto Uguccioni came out of the goal and Jailson de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Jailson de Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bar Marconi United's Concetto Uguccioni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 played minutes, Itajaí Football Club's Luís Fabiano Corrêa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Concetto Uguccioni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itajaí Football Club reached it. After 64 played minutes Itajaí Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Amílton dos Santos. In the 70th minute, Alberigo Pomponio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bar Marconi United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Christiano Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arrigo Latini in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jailson de Senna in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Concetto Uguccioni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christiano Cearense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arrigo Latini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. Itajaí Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Arrigo Latini scored to the left of an out of position Christiano Cearense, making the score, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Cusumano in the 86th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Christiano Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amílton dos Santos scored 1-6 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Concetto Uguccioni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juarês Gerber hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
