Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson de Senna to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Jailson de Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bar Marconi United's Flavio Alba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christiano Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 70 minutes into the game, Amílton dos Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Flavio Alba. Amílton dos Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 76 minutes into the match, Itajaí Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Arrigo Latini came free, but Christiano Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
