The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Horea Raicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Duarte in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute Fabian Verzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Verzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Verzea in the 11th minute of the match. Willian Loyola was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Panait Dănescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Fabian Verzea had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Stelian Covrig was substituted for Fabian Verzea. In a very dangerous position, a player in Morro Grande E.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Willian Loyola made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gelu Săvescu sent off a good shot on target. Willian Loyola made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Panait Dănescu sent off a good shot on target. Horea Raicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Duarte in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Stelian Covrig made the kick off in the second half. Willian Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alin Moldoveanu in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Covrig in the 53rd minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Willian Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Maia to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Raúl Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horea Raicu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Dănescu to maneuver through the defense. Willian Loyola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panait Dănescu went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Willian Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Covrig, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 77 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Eusebiu Ostoici. 78 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's Reynaldo Tepedino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Horea Raicu was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Cristian Duarte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Duarte really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 85th minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luisinho Silva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 95th minute, Ernani Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
