Fabian Verzea started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Desiderio Endura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gelu Săvescu. 9 minutes into the match, Arturo Acevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horea Raicu. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Acevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Arturo Acevedo got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th match minute, SOUTH THUNDER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germán Pezzella to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SOUTH THUNDER's zone, Fabian Verzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Endura came out of the goal and Fabian Verzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horea Raicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Tome in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of SOUTH THUNDER booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Arapașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebiu Ostoici's late challenge caught a SOUTH THUNDER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebiu Ostoici helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SOUTH THUNDER booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alin Moldoveanu got free with Desiderio Endura in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Santiago Tome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Desiderio Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Dănescu in the 29th minute of play. Desiderio Endura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Dănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the last second Desiderio Endura throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fabian Verzea in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 36 minutes of play, SOUTH THUNDER's Arturo Acevedo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horea Raicu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Tome didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Esteban Goiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half SOUTH THUNDER were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Desiderio Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Verzea in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Săvescu came free, but Desiderio Endura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Raicu having to interfere. Horea Raicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Tome, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horea Raicu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Acevedo in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Santiago Tome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Panait Dănescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desiderio Endura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Arturo Acevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Horea Raicu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Santiago Tome sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the game, Santiago Tome recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Horea Raicu. Santiago Tome showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Arturo Acevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Horea Raicu to make any attempt to save it.
