The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when Road To Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Leoncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Alin Moldoveanu. Claudiu Udroiu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Claudiu Udroiu got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Moldoveanu to maneuver through the defense. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Horea Raicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Olayo in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Road To Glory's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabian Verzea was slow to take the kick. During this time -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fabian Verzea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomás Calixto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alin Moldoveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Calixto having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Godofredo Iturri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Tomás Calixto threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabian Verzea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Beltran to make the kick off. When Alin Moldoveanu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the -BZF- Fc Gheraseni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Moldoveanu couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Fabian Verzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Calixto was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Fabian Verzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Calixto having to interfere. Fabian Verzea's late challenge caught a Road To Glory's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Verzea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Verzea to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Calixto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Moldoveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Horea Raicu got control of the ball when Jorge Presebal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomás Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Verzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Gelu Săvescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Calixto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Verzea's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After 83 played minutes Road To Glory got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Iturri. When -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Fabian Verzea in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Road To Glory's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute, Gelu Săvescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Fabian Verzea put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tomás Calixto.
