Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mário de Azevedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Júlio Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Mattos in the 2nd minute of play. After some careless play in the S.E. Pindorama Eagles defense, Caetano Mattos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Schmidt. The S.E. Pindorama Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Schmidt should have stopped the shot. After 6 played minutes S.E. Pindorama Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Tuta Le Van. Tuta Le Van charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuta Le Van the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tuta Le Van hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, João Augusto Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Misericordia EC the free kick. When Misericordia EC's Caetano Mattos in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalie prevented a goal. Júlio Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Mattos in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Chute in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 20 minutes, Tuta Le Van managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuta Le Van was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Mário de Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo José Rodrigues. Mário de Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 28thth minute of the game Bob Chute who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Júlio Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Júlio Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Mattos in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Misericordia EC's zone, Mário de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Rodrigues came out of the goal and Mário de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Motta came free, but Júlio Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo José Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bob Chute stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário de Azevedo in the 51st minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Paulo José Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd match minute, Misericordia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Maciel to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute Cássio Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Tuta Le Van got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Cássio Motta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio Schmidt. Cássio Motta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Tuta Le Van got a free kick in the 69th minute. Virgílio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Paulo José Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Mário de Azevedo came free, but Paulo José Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aga Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Schmidt was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Clemente Meira. In the 86th minute, Misericordia EC's Caetano Mattos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Paulo José Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Misericordia EC played a much better game than S.E. Pindorama Eagles and deserved their victory. The S.E. Pindorama Eagles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
