After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Chicão Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minotauro's supporters rose to their feet, but Chicão Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 8 played minutes São José City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Dito Xavier. In the 11th match minute, Minotauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Minotauro defense, Roger Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovanni de Toledo. The Minotauro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanni de Toledo should have stopped the shot. Hélder Severo was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Chicão Corrêa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chicão Corrêa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Minotauro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Paulo Mendonça in the 22nd minute. Giovanni de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Hélder Severo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ernesto Damião sent off a good shot on target. Jano Palmeira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Chicão Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Chicão Corrêa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chicão Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Hélder Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Damião. In the 43rd match minute, São José City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Minotauro's Tales Vasconcelos was substituted for Chicão Corrêa. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Costa was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Vasconcelos came free, but Hélder Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, Minotauro's Ernesto Damião made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Severo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, Minotauro's Perivaldo Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélder Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the game, Minotauro's Tales Vasconcelos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Severo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Tales Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in São José City - FSCMZ's zone, Tales Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Severo came out of the goal and Tales Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes São José City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Leão. Tales Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the game, Tales Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hélder Severo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 minutes of play, Minotauro's Ernesto Damião made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Severo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd match minute, São José City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Mazza to maneuver through the defense. When Ernesto Damião came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Minotauro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Damião couldn't finish the play. Giovanni de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Toledo in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Minotauro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
