Henry Pelsers charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henry Pelsers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Henry Pelsers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FCSB CUENCA's Agapito Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Engelborgh in the 8th minute of play. Ionel Zărnescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Waut Goons made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Sporting Mambo's Henry Pelsers got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Ionel Zărnescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute, Ionel Zărnescu made a precise shot to the right of Waut Goons. Sporting Mambo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitin Domingo. Agapito Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pino Maerschalckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FCSB CUENCA's Agapito Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoffel Weets in the 35th minute of play. When Pino Maerschalckx came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sporting Mambo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pino Maerschalckx couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Solo in the 40th minute of play forced Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Engelborgh in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agapito Blanco saved FCSB CUENCA from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joselito Quiroga in the 45th minute of play forced Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Solo scored 3-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waut Goons, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ionel Zărnescu to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Harold Engelborgh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Mambo's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold Engelborgh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agapito Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ionel Zărnescu helped the player get up and apologised. Waut Goons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Solo in the 69th minute of play. Sporting Mambo's Waut Goons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joselito Quiroga in the 70th minute of play. Waut Goons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Solo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Bernardo Solo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Pelsers hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Harold Engelborgh struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Agapito Blanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Mambo. Waut Goons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Solo in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Pino Maerschalckx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Mambo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pino Maerschalckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Felix Zărnescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FCSB CUENCA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Mambo the free kick. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Mei Qing Yang got a free kick in the 94th minute.
