Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Harold Engelborgh kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Bernardo Solo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Goons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gorka Turienzo in the 5th minute of play forced Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Bernardo Solo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waut Goons. Sporting Mambo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Solo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Christoffel Weets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Sporting Mambo's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Solo came free, but Waut Goons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when Sporting Mambo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Armentier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Ionel Zărnescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCSB CUENCA and the Sporting Mambo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes FCSB CUENCA got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Zărnescu. Christoffel Weets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Agapito Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agapito Blanco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yoachim Fondria in the 21st minute. Sporting Mambo's Waut Goons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Zărnescu in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harold Engelborgh in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agapito Blanco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute, Bernardo Solo made a precise shot to the right of Waut Goons. Sporting Mambo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 34th minute, Glen de Pelsmaecker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-3 became the score in the 37th minute when Ionel Zărnescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Solo in the 46th minute of play forced Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
With an all-out effort, FCSB CUENCA's Waut Goons threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardo Solo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernardo Solo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Waut Goons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waut Goons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Solo in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, FCSB CUENCA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zunbeltz Albizua to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, FCSB CUENCA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Verdaguer to maneuver through the defense. Waut Goons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Solo in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Pino Maerschalckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Mambo were furious when Henry Pelsers was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Henry Pelsers hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Sporting Mambo got a freekick which was hit by Christoffel Weets. Pino Maerschalckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waut Goons was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Felix Zărnescu. Waut Goons was a little too slow when Bernardo Solo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 93rd match minute, FCSB CUENCA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mei Qing Yang to maneuver through the defense. Etienne Ottevaere hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waut Goons made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The FCSB CUENCA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FCSB CUENCA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
