The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Club Dep. Union Madereros were furious when Carlos Walme was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Carlos Walme kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, RED BLUE STAR's Victor Răcănel tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Club Dep. Union Madereros getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Hermengildo Jakue hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Daniel Laurendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Dep. Union Madereros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Laurendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Dep. Union Madereros's Daniel Laurendi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Damian Tender. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. 17 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Damian Tender had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Jakue. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Ourente in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Tender prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Róbert Szepesvári showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Panaitoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Ferdinand Pociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermengildo Jakue's late challenge caught a RED BLUE STAR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Jakue helped the player get up and apologised. Hermengildo Jakue hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Domingo Manny fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Dep. Union Madereros's protests and gave Domingo Manny a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, RED BLUE STAR's Albert Panaitoiu got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 34 played minutes Club Dep. Union Madereros got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Cuartio. With a little luck, RED BLUE STAR's Damian Tender got control of the ball when Daniel Laurendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 played minutes RED BLUE STAR got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Leucuța. 40 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Ourente came free, but Damian Tender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 minutes, Angelino Cuartio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Dep. Union Madereros and the RED BLUE STAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Angelino Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Damian Tender had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Ourente. Damian Tender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Ourente, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Ourente to strike the kick off in the second half. Damian Tender showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Jakue in the 51st minute of the match. After 53 played minutes Club Dep. Union Madereros got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Colas. Narcis Voiculescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Róbert Szepesvári could save by the left post. In the 64th minute, Hermengildo Jakue made a precise shot to the right of Damian Tender. RED BLUE STAR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Placido Domingues was substituted for Hermengildo Jakue. RED BLUE STAR's Damian Tender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Domingues in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Panaitoiu got free with Róbert Szepesvári in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th match minute, Club Dep. Union Madereros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Salamon to maneuver through the defense. If Placido Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when Club Dep. Union Madereros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Tender took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Ourente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Tender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Laurendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Club Dep. Union Madereros players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
