In the 18th minute Guaberto Quintun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, RompePiernas FC's goalkeeper Jose Moise had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aloísio Chulapa. If Saverio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Quintun, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Marciano Aztore fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RompePiernas FC's protests and gave Marciano Aztore a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, RompePiernas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Aztore to maneuver through the defense. Váldson Lopes didn't quite understand what happened when in the 44 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dedê Cerezo was the one to do the kick off. Urbano Quinten hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Pedrão Paraense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jose Moise was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Quintun in the 92nd minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RompePiernas FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Divina Comédia FC had controlled the match.
