Amador Abenda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Jon-Inge Kolberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mikel Abechuco hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Cordairo Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Devik, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th match minute, The Nerd Herd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birk Rognstad to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Axel Norland. After some careless play in the Deportivo Empate defense, Ove Svingen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cordairo Abad. The Deportivo Empate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cordairo Abad should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Deportivo Empate's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Devik came free, but Cordairo Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Devik in the 37th minute of play forced Deportivo Empate's goalkeeper Cordairo Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordairo Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Devik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cordairo Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Svingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Frode Kjellevold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Deportivo Empate's Xavon Abellaneda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xavon Abellaneda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Empate protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xavon Abellaneda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Deportivo Empate getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Xavon Abellaneda hit a great ball. Kristian Devik struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Cordairo Abad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Nerd Herd. After the first half The Nerd Herd were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magdaleno Abello was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Deportivo Empate got a freekick which was hit by Mikel Abechuco. Cordairo Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Svingen in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Kristian Devik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kristian Devik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordairo Abad having to interfere. After 62 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Eivind Engh. Gustavo-Hernán Torrico hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Cordairo Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Svingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cordairo Abad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kristian Devik went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Cordairo Abad came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by The Nerd Herd's Kristian Devik. But to his dismay, Kristian Devik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 85th match minute, The Nerd Herd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eivind Engh to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Deportivo Empate's Cordairo Abad got control of the ball when Kristian Devik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiadoro Abadia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched The Nerd Herd eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
