The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Macedo during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Umbrella Corporation was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Ian Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Umbrella Corporation was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Ortle hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match Luís Fábio Veloso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Luke skillfully saved the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Domingo Quinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaviotas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Umbrella Corporation the free kick. After 41 played minutes Gaviotas FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Quinto.

Sebastian Gimenez's late challenge caught a Umbrella Corporation's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Gimenez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gaviotas FC's Sebastian Gimenez got a free kick in the 51st minute. The long shot by Luís Fábio Veloso in the 52nd minute really tested Gavino Luke's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luís Fábio Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Wanderson Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Luke having to interfere. Godfredo Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaviotas FC's Rodolfo Ursino was substituted for Godfredo Quinteros. Wanderson Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Gaviotas FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Gimenez. In the 83rd minute, Leonardo Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Umbrella Corporation's zone, Domingo Quinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Corrêa came out of the goal and Domingo Quinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Célio Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Luke having to interfere. Sebastian Gimenez got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st match minute, Gaviotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Gimenez to maneuver through the defense. Umbrella Corporation's Célio Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Paulo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Ursino in the 96th minute of play.
