Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Phoenix Strikers's Horaţiu Dinulescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Silvestre Gonza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huckebein and the Phoenix Strikers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silvestre Gonza hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Phoenix Strikers were awarded a corner. Ioan Cozma went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in David Mocanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After having played for 8 minutes, Denis Brânzaș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Strikers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Brânzaș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angelo Chumo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Isac Spirea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Gagriel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Păun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Strikers's zone, Angelo Chumo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isac Spirea came out of the goal and Angelo Chumo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Gagriel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Brânzaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phoenix Strikers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alvaro Niguel 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 26 played minutes Phoenix Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Curcă. A collision led to Phoenix Strikers getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nistor Curcă hit a great ball. The supporters of Huckebein booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Ceaușu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cazimir Ceaușu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Samuel Gorbea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 34 played minutes Phoenix Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Marin Pietreanu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Păun in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Gagriel saved Huckebein from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Niguel made a kick off. Horaţiu Dinulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Camilo Gagriel made a huge save. Camilo Gagriel made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Horaţiu Dinulescu sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Huckebein getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Luisito Luzaide hit a great ball. Isac Spirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Niguel in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Samuel Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Denis Brânzaș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phoenix Strikers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huckebein the free kick. The supporters of Huckebein booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Brânzaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Niguel in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isac Spirea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Huckebein booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Curcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Gagriel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Păun in the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damaso Hechter during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Chumo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Isac Spirea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Dorineanu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the game, Samuel Gorbea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Isac Spirea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camilo Gagriel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Păun, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
