Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) In the 6th match minute, Inter de São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de São Paulo's zone, Diguinho Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Melo came out of the goal and Diguinho Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diguinho Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Eliseu Melo made a huge save. Eusébio Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léo Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Benê Vergílio. If Dorian de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Eusébio Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseu Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diguinho Ortiz in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diguinho Ortiz to make the kick off. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jean Arantes hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito Soeiro in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseu Melo saved Inter de São Paulo from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diguinho Ortiz during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diguinho Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Soeiro came free, but Eliseu Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santo Amaro AC's Benê Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celsinho Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Albuquerque having to interfere. Celsinho Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes Inter de São Paulo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mário Soeiro who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Benê Vergílio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Amaro AC's Benê Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Santo Amaro AC had won after a very even match.
