A collision led to Rafaela FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Maximo Iratxo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Branco in the 13th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ademar Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the game, Tião Dante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SALIMEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rafaela FC the free kick. Tião Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ademar Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Locaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rafaela FC's Zeledon Locaio in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SALIMEN's goalie prevented a goal. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Dantas in the 33rd minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Eate to maneuver through the defense. If Eugenio Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Locaio was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Zeledon Locaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SALIMEN's Ademar Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute Zeledon Locaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Zeledon Locaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SALIMEN's Ademar Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Branco in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 minutes, Guido Primeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rafaela FC and the SALIMEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guido Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ademar Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Navarro in the 67th minute of the match. Ademar Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Navarro in the 68th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Rafaela FC's Eugenio Izotz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ademar Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Eriberto Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafaela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Navarro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademar Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Calvino having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Locaio came free, but Ademar Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Branco in the 80th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, SALIMEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Dante to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Eriberto Navarro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademar Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 91 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's Aníbal Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prospero Calvino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Primeiro came free, but Ademar Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafaela FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SALIMEN for a fine match.
