Mattias Pihlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Dracena in the 20th minute of the match. Ronaldinho Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Linquist in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldinho Pernambucano. Ronaldinho Pernambucano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 26 minutes, Iuri Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haridades F.C and the Oldham Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Haridades F.C getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Iuri Gonçalves hit a great ball. During the 27th minute of the match Iuri Gonçalves completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Iuri Gonçalves a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Oldham Athletic were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Haridades F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valentin Jonsson took the corner. Ronaldinho Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Linquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Luís Eduardo Souza came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Haridades F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Eduardo Souza couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Jonsson made a kick off. Ronaldinho Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Bolander in the 62nd minute of the match. Oldham Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Jonsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Oldham Athletic fully deserved thier win.
