The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Albérico Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Savu in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Calado to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, SC Braga's Albérico Vilaverde got control of the ball when Emanuel Savu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albérico Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Malcoci, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Iacob Malcoci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, A4p Dejani's Emanuel Savu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albérico Vilaverde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Anton Condrea came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the A4p Dejani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Condrea couldn't finish the play. Alexandrino Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Francisc Dănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iacob Malcoci during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to A4p Dejani getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Iacob Malcoci hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Braga booed when A4p Dejani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Condrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Klein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Vilaverde having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Savu was the one to do the kick off. A4p Dejani's Anton Condrea got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leonard Piț fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A4p Dejani's protests and gave Leonard Piț a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes A4p Dejani got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Piț. Albérico Vilaverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Savu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Hélio Cerqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Braga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A4p Dejani the free kick. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Hélio Cerqueira hit a great ball. Leonard Piț hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Caetano Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Cucerzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Braga's Albérico Vilaverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Savu in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Emanuel Savu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albérico Vilaverde was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A4p Dejani's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Michael Klein in the 80th minute. In the 80th minute, Honorato Calado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albérico Vilaverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Condrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Emanuel Savu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Savu came free, but Albérico Vilaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Cucerzan having to interfere. After 95 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Cerqueira. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Hugo Pinheiro got a free kick in the 96th minute. Michael Klein struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Albérico Vilaverde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A4p Dejani. A4p Dejani's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
