Kauan Fernandes's late challenge caught a Quebracho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Kauan Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Eduardo Mazza the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Jarametais protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Eduardo Mazza had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jarametais! The referee gave Quebracho FC a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rigoberto Jakobe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jarametais's Rodolfo Damião. 1-0. A collision led to Jarametais getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jair Messias hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmir Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Jarametais defense, Ivan Rami kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Damião. The Jarametais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Damião should have stopped the shot. After having played for 60 minutes, Walmir Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarametais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmir Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarametais's André Luiz Vidal was substituted for Cacá Dantas. Jarametais made a substitution. João Toledo replaced Ciro Linhares. There was no doubt that Quebracho FC were the better team. Quebracho FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
