When Pendotiba's Paulo Neves in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Golden Generation's goalie prevented a goal. When Jeferson Vale fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pendotiba's protests and gave Jeferson Vale a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pendotiba getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jeferson Vale hit a great ball. Benito Llorenc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Ramiro Dias made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Benito Llorenc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Dias. Pendotiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benito Llorenc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann in 24 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gregorio Gilesindo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Golden Generation getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rogelio Viator hit a great ball. Micki Essien charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Micki Essien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Golden Generation got a freekick which was hit by Micki Essien. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Generation's goalkeeper Gregorio Gilesindo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Llorenc's late challenge caught a Pendotiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Llorenc helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Golden Generation getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Benito Llorenc hit a great ball. Gregorio Gilesindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Benito Llorenc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Micki Owen was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Evaristo de Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pendotiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Generation the free kick. Gregorio Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Neves in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Paulo Neves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gregorio Gilesindo. The goal made the score 1-1. Gregorio Gilesindo came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Cristian Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 76 minutes into the match, Cristian Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Gilesindo. Golden Generation's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 79th minute Jeferson Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Gilesindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Hoffmann came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gregorio Gilesindo could save by the left post. Gregorio Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Neves in the 84th minute of the match. Gregorio Gilesindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Luís Fernando Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Gilesindo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Golden Generation defense, Cristian Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Gilesindo. The Golden Generation fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Gilesindo should have stopped the shot. Sung Park charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sung Park the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Sung Park hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Hoffmann got free with Gregorio Gilesindo in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pendotiba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
