Dave Valeriani made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Cristian Hoffmann sent off a good shot on target. Pendotiba's Paulo Neves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dave Valeriani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Amedeo Ruggeri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Dias. Pendotiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amedeo Ruggeri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 36th minute, Alessandro Mazzetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 40 minutes, Alessandro Mazzetti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farafulla FC and the Pendotiba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Paulo Neves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Farafulla FC's Dave Valeriani didn't even have to move. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Neves to make the kick off.
