After 9 played minutes FC Psihopel BM-MM- got a freekick which was hit by Manole Dascălu. Gheorghe Odobescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Desiderio Frederik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Desiderio Frederik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Odobescu in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Odobescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Desiderio Frederik, 1-0. In the 27th minute Gheorghe Odobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desiderio Frederik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Odobescu in the 29th minute of play. The corner led FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Ovidiu Manciulea to fire away a dangerous shot which Desiderio Frederik despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 35th minute Manole Dascălu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's Desiderio Frederik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Odobescu in the 40th minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Desiderio Frederik threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Louis Munteanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 46th play minute Bogdan Nastac came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Desiderio Frederik. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gheorghe Odobescu to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Gheorghe Odobescu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
