But to his dismay, Celedonio Kinsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Arnoldo Ubarna put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of István Földes. Arnoldo Ubarna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. István Földes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. János Döbrögi was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Kinsen in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg István Földes saved Gyál United from getting behind. Sporting de Gijón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
