A collision led to Hortensia FCG getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Esteban Rumaldo hit a great ball. With a little luck, El Retorno de Palermo's Pascual Porfirio got control of the ball when Celso Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcial Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Napier in the 10th minute of play. Arnulfo Hulberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Pascual Porfirio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Paublo in the 15th minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Milian in the 16th minute of the match. Pascual Porfirio was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Arnulfo Hulberto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnulfo Hulberto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A collision led to El Retorno de Palermo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mariano Quinteros hit a great ball. David Paublo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Pascual Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Raebert in the 24th minute of the match. Marcial Mingo came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by El Retorno de Palermo's Cristian Napier. But to his dismay, Cristian Napier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pascual Porfirio made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Arnulfo Hulberto sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Pascual Porfirio managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Hortensia FCG's Arnulfo Hulberto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Raebert in the 33rd minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Pascual Porfirio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Napier kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Pascual Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Hulberto in the 37th minute of the match. Serafino Ferran charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafino Ferran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Hortensia FCG got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Ferran. Eleuterio Savier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnulfo Hulberto made a kick off. In the 51st minute Arnulfo Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as El Retorno de Palermo's Angelino Bernard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcial Mingo. That made the score 1-2 after 53 minutes of play. After some careless play in the El Retorno de Palermo defense, Arnulfo Hulberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pascual Porfirio. The El Retorno de Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascual Porfirio should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute Arnulfo Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascual Porfirio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Hulberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Esteban Rumaldo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Pascual Porfirio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Austin in the 88th minute of play. Celso Sancho scored 4-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascual Porfirio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcial Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Bernard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
