An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Urdin in the 16th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Vicente Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, David Paublo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcial Mingo, 2-0. Vicente Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Raebert, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Delmar Quico sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Bakar skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th match minute, El Retorno de Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Loco to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Vicente Bakar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Abreu came free, but Vicente Bakar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmar Quico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Hortensia FCG defense, David Paublo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Mingo. The Hortensia FCG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Mingo should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Esteban Raebert took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Vicente Bakar to make any attempt to save it. Vicente Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Raebert, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmar Quico got free with Vicente Bakar in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, El Retorno de Palermo's David Paublo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Vicente Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Quico in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Austin got free with Vicente Bakar in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Damian Austin could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Vicente Bakar however easily saved by the left post. Delmar Quico struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Vicente Bakar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hortensia FCG. With a little luck, El Retorno de Palermo's Vicente Bakar got control of the ball when Esteban Raebert tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Quico came free, but Vicente Bakar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Quico in the 93rd minute of the match. Vicente Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Austin in the 96th minute of play. Hortensia FCG's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
