The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tage Tidén to strike the kick off in the second half. Tage Tidén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Eriksson in the 57th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Celsinho Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, AFC - Curitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Koehler to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's Tage Tidén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celsinho Vander narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
