The ball had pretty good speed, but Adrian Sillén firmly grabbed it by the left post. Andarilhos's Yuri Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Askberg in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Oakcroft Thrashers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Cunha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 15th minute, Anselmo Veríssimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Eriksson in the 18th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Yuri Ventura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Jan-Erik Askberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Ventura. Andarilhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Erik Askberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leandro Campelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Adrian Sillén made a huge save. The supporters of Andarilhos booed when Oakcroft Thrashers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Zander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Herberto Vilar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adrian Sillén. The goal made the score 1-1. Leandro Campelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Veríssimo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Oakcroft Thrashers's Sakarias Norberg got a free kick in the 39th minute. Adrian Sillén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Sebastian Eriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Ventura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Andarilhos booed when Oakcroft Thrashers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Klint didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Oakcroft Thrashers's zone, João Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sillén came out of the goal and João Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oakcroft Thrashers's Adrian Sillén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Campelo in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Herberto Vilar came free, but Adrian Sillén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Eriksson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yuri Ventura came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastian Eriksson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 67th minute. If Jan-Erik Askberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Henrique Laureano got a free kick in the 78th minute. Yuri Ventura acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tobias Berg. Adrian Sillén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sálvio Malta in the 82nd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Oakcroft Thrashers got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Klint. Adrian Sillén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herberto Vilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Herberto Vilar came free, but Adrian Sillén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Sillén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Campelo in the 92nd minute of play. Yuri Ventura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Oakcroft Thrashers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
