Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Simon Hats successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Margarita getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gualterio Romo hit a great ball. Flavio Garaona's late challenge caught a 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Garaona helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Margarita getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Flavio Garaona hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Mark Ee fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 booed when Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Garaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Jithu Nagasaki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Hats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afiq Hongyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Meder in the 24th minute of the match. Afiq Hongyi came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Margarita's Gualterio Romo. But to his dismay, Gualterio Romo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Margarita were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Faiz Tan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marciano Sancho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Jithu Nagasaki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's Sean Yip got a free kick in the 60th minute. With an all-out effort, Margarita's Afiq Hongyi threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eulalio Meder, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marciano Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Afiq Hongyi made a huge save. Mark Ee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's Afiq Hongyi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 from getting a goal against them. Faiz Tan hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Meder came free, but Afiq Hongyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Sancho in the 87th minute of play forced 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goalkeeper Afiq Hongyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Romo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Afiq Hongyi firmly grabbed it by the left post. The 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Margarita's performance. The match ended with a win for Margarita.
