The referee ignored Juniors FC's protests and gave Gervasio Macario a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Sandalio in the 31st minute of play forced Teodelina FC's goalkeeper Jesus Flor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Gaufred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Gervasio Macario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jesus Flor. Gervasio Macario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After the first half Teodelina FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Teodelina FC's Oscar Ruggeri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jaime Cuartio in the 58 minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Cayetano Garci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Roganović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Ángel Borja, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Jaime Cuartio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juniors FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teodelina FC the free kick.
