Celso Inge scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cacá Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dedê Travassos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Melquiades Patxi made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Dedê Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Melquiades Patxi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caco de Lima showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. Melquiades Patxi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Tande in the 26th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Loureiro during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of EL PEPO FC booed when OTTO FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, EL PEPO FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Patxi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelinho Soeiro. Dedê Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dé Mattos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rafael Clodio made the kick off in the second half. Celso Inge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Breckenfeld having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in OTTO FC - FSCMZ's zone, Celso Inge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Celso Inge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Caco de Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Patxi. EL PEPO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caco de Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Marcelinho Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Zé Loureiro got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Edgard Herauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of EL PEPO FC booed when OTTO FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Soeiro in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco de Lima in the 80th minute of play forced EL PEPO FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Patxi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 85th match minute, EL PEPO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Argider to maneuver through the defense. If Marcelinho Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Marcelinho Soeiro had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidio Argider during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes EL PEPO FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Argider. The crowd rose to their feet as Rafael Clodio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cacá Breckenfeld. That made the score 2-2 in the 95 minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
