When Geovânio Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bezerros EC's protests and gave Geovânio Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. Geovânio Camargo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Celso Lonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Corrêa in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Edinho Corrêa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Atlético Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eleuterio Benvide hit a great ball. Celso Lonzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Tasso in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Clemente Nel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Deunoro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Celso Lonzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celso Lonzo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dedé Loyola. After 60 minutes of play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Claudio Urbasa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gino Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Bezerros EC's Eliézer Queiroz got a free kick in the 71st minute. Gino Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Urbasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 78 minutes, Astor Liher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Rio Cuarto and the Bezerros EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Astor Liher kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dedé Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Bezerros EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Atlético Rio Cuarto from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
