After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Evaristo Gaúcho got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Melquiades Patxi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Severino Soares hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Melquiades Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Severino Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Patxi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Celso Inge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Velloso having to interfere. Alfredinho Velloso made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Celso Inge sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Soares in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Patxi saved EL PEPO FC from getting behind. After 23 played minutes Clube Atlético Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Marquez. In the 25th minute, Marquinhos Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Patxi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Denis Guerrero kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Luiz Henrique received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Melquiades Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Patxi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Soares's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The supporters of Clube Atlético Paulista booed when EL PEPO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Hibai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Eduardo Cabral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Patxi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Melquiades Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Soares in the 35th minute of play. Severino Soares scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Patxi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Kauan Guerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atlético Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Clodio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severino Soares in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Melquiades Patxi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 75 minutes into the game, Severino Soares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Melquiades Patxi. Severino Soares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Clube Atlético Paulista's Osmar Cardozo was substituted for Manfredo Cerezo. Melquiades Patxi was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Marquinhos Pena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marquinhos Pena really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Marquinhos Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Severino Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melquiades Patxi, 0-9. Severino Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Melquiades Patxi made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, EL PEPO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Pena came free, but Melquiades Patxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The EL PEPO FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clube Atlético Paulista were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
