FC Fanaticii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nichifor Iliuță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Robert Răducu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Fanaticii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Rio Cuarto the free kick. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Robert Răducu hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Astor Liher shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Giurcă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Rio Cuarto reached it. 28 minutes into the game, Ernest Poplăcean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Fanaticii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Rio Cuarto the free kick. Emanuel Giurcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Benvide in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Clemente Nel hit a great ball. Eleuterio Benvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Giurcă having to interfere. Astor Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Giurcă having to interfere. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Angelo Deunoro got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Giurcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Benvide in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marius Ganea to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Benvide in the 65th minute of play forced FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Emanuel Giurcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Eleuterio Benvide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Giurcă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Horaţiu Zotincă fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Fanaticii's protests and gave Horaţiu Zotincă a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Horaţiu Zotincă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Giurcă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Nel in the 75th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Astor Liher notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Fanaticii's Emanuel Giurcă. Emanuel Giurcă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Giurcă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Benvide in the 91st minute of the match. Angelo Deunoro struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Emanuel Giurcă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Rio Cuarto. When the referee ended the match the Atlético Rio Cuarto players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
