O rey Iván's Aurelio Paio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 23 minutes into the match, The Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Azeari came free, but Dennis Wallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pontus Berglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Dalmu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. O rey Iván's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Igor Dalmu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Berglund in the 77th minute of play. In the 96th minute Wiktor Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Dalmu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
