The referee ignored Atlético Rio Cuarto's protests and gave Eleuterio Benvide a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Eleuterio Benvide hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Astor Liher put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Melquiades Patxi. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Clodio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Patxi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eleuterio Benvide went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute Angelo Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Astor Liher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Atlético Rio Cuarto walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
