Alkestis Stasinopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Myroslav Akymenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Alkestis Stasinopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Lytvynchuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Stadtclub's Jochen Ziegler got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alkestis Stasinopoulos came out of the goal and Kostyantyn Tereschenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Stadtclub's Alkestis Stasinopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myroslav Akymenko in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Danylo Bandera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ruh Lviv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 74th minute Carlos Dufresne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andriy Trubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Carlos Dufresne sped through FC Ruh Lviv's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andriy Trubin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Myroslav Akymenko in the 80th managed to get into a good position. Alkestis Stasinopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After having played for 85 minutes, Anatoliy Batyuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ruh Lviv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anatoliy Batyuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alkestis Stasinopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Myroslav Akymenko's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danylo Bandera got free with Alkestis Stasinopoulos in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 93 played minutes FC Ruh Lviv got a freekick which was hit by Artur Lytvynchuk. Anatoliy Batyuk's late challenge caught a FC Stadtclub's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anatoliy Batyuk helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes FC Ruh Lviv got a freekick which was hit by Anatoliy Batyuk. The FC Ruh Lviv players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
