Jochen Ziegler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jan Sibon made a huge save. Jan Sibon made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jochen Ziegler sent off a good shot on target. Alkestis Stasinopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rinus Ronde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when FC Stadtclub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Kirsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Stadtclub's Alkestis Stasinopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koos Staal in the 38th minute of play. Joep Daniels hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Wilfred Tollenaar kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Patrick Jeanneret, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 46th minute Carlos Dufresne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Sibon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Dufresne to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan Sibon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Dufresne, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rinus Ronde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Sibon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Dufresne in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rinus Ronde in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alkestis Stasinopoulos saved FC Stadtclub from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rinus Ronde got free with Alkestis Stasinopoulos in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rinus Rondes short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Alkestis Stasinopoulos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Dufresne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Stadtclub fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Carlos Dufresne's late challenge caught a De Ontembare Leeuwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Dufresne helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when FC Stadtclub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Dufresne didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Michael Hottiger fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Stadtclub's protests and gave Michael Hottiger a yellow card for diving instead. Victor de Jong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alkestis Stasinopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. FC Stadtclub were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of De Ontembare Leeuwen for a fine match.
