Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laércio Alvarenga took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Laércio Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Quilino. Kikemania FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Rocha in the 6th minute of play forced Kikemania FC's goalkeeper Jaime Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Frédson Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Quilino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Xurupita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Daunte came free, but Arlindo Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Miranda's late challenge caught a Kikemania FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Miranda. Arlindo Meireles made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Salvador Garaona sent off a good shot on target. Niceto Daunte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Arlindo Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Niceto Daunte made a precise shot to the right of Arlindo Meireles. Xurupita FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gaston Gagriel kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Xurupita FC's Teodoro Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Quilino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ubaldo Montel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kikemania FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Montel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Niceto Daunte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arlindo Meireles. Niceto Daunte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Jaime Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Quilino came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Xurupita FC's Frédson Donato. But to his dismay, Frédson Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Daunte to make the kick off. Jaime Quilino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Alvarenga in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Xurupita FC's Frédson Donato slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaime Quilino. That made the score 2-4 after 56 minutes of play. Kikemania FC's Jaime Quilino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Rocha in the 60th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Salvador Garaona made a precise shot to the right of Arlindo Meireles. Xurupita FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. After 73 played minutes Kikemania FC got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Lico. Frédson Donato received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jaime Quilino came out and tried to block the shot, but Frédson Donato slotted it home off the left post making it 3-5 in the 74th minute. Jaime Quilino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Rocha in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Kikemania FC booed when Xurupita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Fernando Rocha hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernando Rocha took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Quilino. Jaime Quilino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-6. Xurupita FC played a much better game than Kikemania FC and deserved their victory. The Kikemania FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
