Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Serafim Simão kicked off to start the match. Serafim Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Palestra do Interior's Zé Orella slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justo Eusko. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Justo Eusko made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Zé Orella sent off a good shot on target. William Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Palestra do Interior were furious when Ulysses Neto was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ulysses Neto hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Justo Otsoko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Carlos Aballe notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justo Eusko made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Zé Orella sent off a good shot on target. William Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Serafim Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Galácticos del Pueblo's Justo Eusko got control of the ball when Serafim Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Carlos Aballe made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Serafim Simão put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Justo Eusko. William Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Eusko having to interfere. In the 57th minute, William Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by David Vale. In the 64th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Vale to maneuver through the defense. Justo Eusko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Galácticos del Pueblo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Laurin to maneuver through the defense. Serafim Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Eusko having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulino Galoer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. That made the score 2-2 in the 81 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Simão in the 87th minute of play forced Galácticos del Pueblo's goalkeeper Justo Eusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Rufio hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Galácticos del Pueblo's zone, Serafim Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Eusko came out of the goal and Serafim Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
